Rules Roger Kerr Memorial for $4,000 Win!

5, 2026) Sporting a new car, Kyle Courtney dominated
the Topless Outlaws Roger Kerr Memorial on Saturday night. Starting
on the outside pole alongside Jensen Ford, Courtney made a power
move to take the lead going into turn 1. Courtney dove under Jensen
to grab the lead. From there, the race became a battle for second
as Ford and Jason Manley swapped the position several times throughout

Austin Horton used several restarts to move up from the seventh
spot to finish in fourth. Two other hard chargers were Chase King
and Jed Emert. King started 11th and finished 5th. Emert 19th
and finished eighth. Ryan Tims was also a big moved coming the
18th starting position to finish 7th.
Courtney’s only challenge came from Manley on a lap 31 restart.
Manley dove to the bottom in turn 2 to get beside Courtney. But
Courtney powered off the top side to retain the spot coming out
of turn two. Courtney collected $4,000 plus other bonus money.
The sportsman feature saw Chandler Hickman pick up his first win
at Smoky Mountain Speedway in the sportsman late model feature.
Hickman won the pole and started alongside Dustin Ward. Hickman
took the initial lead with Ward in hot pursuit. Jesse Lowe looked
to join the part in third as he pressured the lead duo. In the
closing laps, Ward closed in on Hickman as he navigated the tricky,
top side. Hickman held on to take the win.
Greg Huskey won the street stock feature in dominating fashion.
Huskey immediately took off from Duke Lowe who started second.
As Huskey pulled away for the win, Chad McLemore got by Lowe,
then Sam Burgess to move into second.
Frankie Sharp passed race leader Jacob Sharp coming to the white
flag to win the front wheel drive feature. Jacob Sharp held led
the entire way, holding off a challenge from Jacob Anderson. Frankie
Sharp got by Jeff Bloch for second and tracked down Jacob Sharp.
Frankie Sharp made the pass for the lead in turn 4 and led the
final lap to win the race. Jacob Sharp held on for second while
Bloch finished third.
The next race at Smoky Mountain Speedway will be the Best Plumber
604 Series on Saturday, September 26. This will be the make-up
race for the April race that was postponed.
