JUNE 16TH, 2012- “2ND ANNUAL BIG DADDY 500″- PRESENTED BY TENNESSEE RV

SOUTHERN ALL STARS $5,000 TO WIN

MARYVILLE, Tennessee-  Fans got there money’s worth Saturday night as the Southern All Star Super Late Model Series made its return trip to Smoky Mountain Speedway. In a race that saw four cautions including a 12-car pileup on lap one that saw the 71 of Pierce McCarter land on the top of the 14 of Terry Wolfenbarger, Vic Hill was able to claim his 3rd straight victory at Smoky Mountain Speedway in front of a near capacity crowd. After three straight wins in the Ultimate Super Late Model Series a bounty was placed upon Hill in Dublin, GA. Hill then decided to race at Smoky Mountain instead and the decision paid off. “ Yea, I decided to skip the bounty and I’m glad I did. My family is here tonight so this is just a really good win for us”, said hill. Not only has Hill won all 3 Super Late Model events at Smoky Mountain Speedway he has led every lap in doing so.

David Crabtree was able to hold off Ryan King to claim Saturday nights Nesmith Crates Late Model A Feature. In a race that saw numerous cautions, Crabtree was able to hang on for the win.

Travis Reno was able to pick up the win in the Street Stock A feature.

Smoky Mountain Speedway will be in action again on June 30th when the Southern Regional Racing Series makes a trip to the speedway.
