THE HEAT IS ON – SMS TO OFFER FREE WATER
“THE HEAT IS ON”
As if the temperature in Wheel Tennessee at Duck River Speedway wasn’t hot enough, it just got hotter. With the thermometer already hovering around 100 degrees, the temperature moved up a few notches last night as 36 Super Late Models entered into competition qualifying for a position in front of a house full of fans. Duck River Speedway hosted the first leg of the SRRS 5 Town Showdown and also stepped up to host the second leg as well tonight. With our fans and drivers in mind as the weatherman predicts record high temperatures for the weekend SMS has made the decision to push back the start up time an additional 30 minutes for our heat races and qualifying. With qualifying original set for 7:00PM it is now scheduled for 7:30PM. If all goes as scheduled this change should still have us out by our mandated curfew as well as giving all of our racers and fans a more enjoyable climate. So come prepared to enjoy what promises to be one of our biggest events of the season.
And…while your there have a bottle of ice cold water on SMS and Stanley Best Heating & Air! ![]()
