Smoky Mountain Speedway is proud to welcome a new sponsor that will be the event sponsor for Ray Cook’s Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals on Friday, July 26.

Fireade.com is the new sponsor for the July event and other events in the future. Though Fireaid.com is new to Smoky Mountain Speedway, they are certainly not new to auto racing.

Fireade is a product line from Fire Service Plus, Inc. located in Fayetteville, Georgia. Founded in 1998 by Ron and Theresa Thames, Fire Services Plus produces Fireade in their 22,000 square-foot facility. They are considered a leader in manufacturing the most advanced, innovative, and environmentally friendly fire fighting materials on the market.

Their products are not just used for fire stations, but they also produce fire fighting materials for airports and Motorsports for NASCAR, NHRA, IHRA, and others.

Thames has been a long-time friend and business associate of Smoky Mountain Speedway co-owner Roger Sellers through his business at Tennessee RV Sales and Service. Thames has seen the growth and progress of Smoky Mountain Speedway and wanted to be involved in some way to help continue that growth.

“Ron and Theresa are good people,” Sellers said. “We’ve been friends for a number of years. He came to me one day and started asking about everything we have been doing at Smoky Mountain. He said he’d like to be a part of what we’re doing because they love racing of all forms. All of us at Smoky Mountain Speedway are happy to have Ron and Theresa on board.”

In addition to Fireade.com being the event sponsor for the Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals on Friday, July 26, Fireade.com will be involved in other events at Smoky Mountain Speedway.

“We’ll have an announcement later on with their other involvement with other races in the future,” Sellers noted. “We’re happy to have great people like them involved with our race program at Smoky Mountain Speedway.”
